Most businesses use the bulk of their power between 9am and 5pm — exactly when the panels produce. For a daytime business, solar alone covers most of the bill without a battery.

04 · IncentivesUp to $97,790 can come back to your business
Businesses get two kinds of help: a tax credit that cuts your tax bill dollar-for-dollar, and depreciation that lets you write the system off quickly.
Federal Investment Tax Credit (ITC)
A dollar-for-dollar reduction of your federal income tax. Unused credit can generally be carried back or forward.
Energy Community Bonus
Extra credit for sites in a federally designated energy community (areas tied to fossil-fuel jobs or closed coal plants).
Low-Income Community Bonus
Extra credit for qualifying low-income census tracts. Allocated by application — we check eligibility for you.
Domestic Content Bonus
Extra credit when US-made panels and steel are used. Often costs more than it saves for smaller systems.
Federal MACRS Depreciation
Write off the system as a business asset over 5 years, lowering taxable income. Value shown is estimated tax saved.
California Depreciation
California lets you depreciate the system on your state return too. Value shown is estimated state tax saved.
